Baby baby quilts are typically square in shape and range from 36 inches 91cm by 36 inches 91cm up to 52 inches 132cm by 52 inches 132cm. The standard crib quit size is 36 x 52 or 30 x 40 for small baby cribs. Either one or any measurement in between will be big enough to keep baby snugly warm on even the coldest winter day. Maybe just reduce the templates by say 75 and then kinda adapt.

For a standard baby quilt a 40 42 inch square is a good measure as you can use a single fabric which is 44 inch wide for the backing. However if you are trying to cover a mattress that is a certain size the dimensions of your quilt will become less loosey goosey and should remain relatively standard.
