Im not so fussed about it as it always works and seems to not be a problem. Imagine needing gas in your audi but your fuel door won t open. It may also be accurate for other audi models such as a1 a2 a3 a4. You may have the money you may be at the gas station but without opening this door your car won t be getting any fuel.

The central locking button on the driver s door locks and unlooks doors trunk and fuel filler cap if you hit it twice if you hit it once you will only unlock the driver s door. I had exactly the same problem you re having when i bought my audi a6 resulting in my accidentally breaking off the electric release latch. Same as you stop for fuel get out of the car all doors unlocked but filler cap wont open i have to re press the unlock button on the key. I have a audi tt quatro roadster convertible.

Always works so i assume its a feature. The button for the trunk release doesn t work. Is there a trunk release lever somewhere in this car. No faults via vcds shown.

I might have a similar small problem with mine. I need to get into the trunk to pull the lever for the gas cap so i can fuel it up to take to an audi dealer to fix. The fuel filler cap release doesn t work also the convertible will not lower. Handy to know about.
